Complete Exhaust Service
The exhaust system has two main functions on your vehicle. First is to remove dangerous gases and relocate the excess gaseous waste, and second is to reduce the noise produced by exhaust flow.
The exhaust system is a series of tubing used to direct the waste gases of your vehicle away from controlled combustion inside the vehicle’s engine and away from the driver and passengers. The check engine light on your vehicle may be due to a problem with your exhaust system that we can service for you at our shop. We will perform all exhaust system and muffler services that you may need including maintenance, repair, and welding and mounting. The exhaust system consists of flexible pipe, a catalytic converter, a resonator, and a muffler.

Additional Information
Outline of Exhaust System
Flexible Pipe
The objective of flexible pipe is to create a more manageable connection between the engine and exhaust system and helps in absorbing combustion vibration. Have one of our technicians visually inspect the pipe in the exhaust system annually, but sooner inspection might be necessary if you experience any unusual sound or under car vibrations.
Catalytic Converter
This device, as named, converts the harmful gases produced by your engine into less harmful gases. Problems that may occur with the converter include converter clogging, gas leakage, and others. Problems with this portion of the exhaust system can result in poor engine performance. If you experience any funny smells in your cabin, sometimes resembling a rotten egg smell, have Tire Factory inspect the catalytic converter and the rest of the exhaust system right away.
Resonator
The resonators objective is to assist the muffler in noise reduction. It does this by producing a sound canceling function. If there are any problems with the rest of the exhaust system, especially the catalytic converter, then the resonator should be inspected as well. Routine inspection should be performed every year.
Muffler
The muffler of your vehicle is solely designed to remove much of the sound caused by your exhaust emissions. The muffler contains a resonating chamber that creates sound waves exactly opposite to those produced by your exhaust emissions in order to cancel out much of the unwanted sound. Most muffler replacement is due to rust. We have a wide range of mufflers to best suit the model of your vehicle here at Tire Factory. Our technicians will help you select the proper muffler if you are in need and perform maintenance and installation.
